Thought Makeover – Day 0
Today I’m on a new journey. For the next 37 days I will be participating in an Extreme Thought Makeover (ETM)! Yes I know, it does sound wishy-washy and so dot-com-before-the-bubble-ish but I figure it can’t hurt anything!
Here is what this journey promises:
This is a 37 Day Interactive Multimedia Program that is experience based. It offers 37 Action Steps, each of which offer life experience. Even if just one of these activities really sinks in, it can be enough to make a permanent positive change in you, creating a real shift, and bringing a benefit you can only imagine.
This was just too wonderful to dismiss! Imagine, experiencing real positive change in my life in only 37 days!! I’ve always been an optimist, and handled life like the cat who always lands on their feet (even if someone threw them across the room) but I do have a tendency to focus on the negative when life isn’t going as well as I’d like. I’m hoping that this effort will help me to always see the glass half-full, even in the face of stress, strain, and difficulty. Therein lies the reason for this effort!
Along with my commitment to myself, to follow the missives of the Extreme Thought Makeover for the next 37 days, I thought the best way to not forget to take my 5-15 minutes for me would be to officially “record” those minutes with you, my readers. Since I don’t know what to expect over the next 37 days, I cannot tell you much about how this may progress, but perhaps that will be a learning experience in and of itself; they say anticipation is the mother of satisfaction, so let’s test it shall we!
So with those positive expectations, I’m off! The first day (a “bonus day” WOO HOO!) is Day 0. What is today’s directive? LAUGH! (oh yes, I think I can handle this!).
Day 0: Laugh
Since this seems such an important and significant concept (have you ever read a good self-help book that didn’t tell you of the power and necessity of laughter?) I am going to add a funny, belly-laughing YouTube video to every post over the next 37 days. To get started, here is one from the Makeover; I’ve seen this one before and yes, it is VERY hard not to laugh in the face of a child’s chronic laughter.
Off and running with Day 0; we’ll see what tomorrow has to offer!
PLEASE NOTE: I have NO affiliation with Dr. Rick Schaefer, or his Extreme Makeover. I receive no compensation for these posts, but am simply doing this as a personal self-improvement effort that I hoped others might also benefit from.
