Average Family Carolers jukebox

online entertainment

Get the Flash Player to see the wordTube Media Player.

Earlier I posted a Christmas song that my youngest daughter had sang one year for a family Christmas album. In that post I had promised to post more, so I decided to create a jukebox player and list all the songs at once!

My favorite song of all time, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, is listed here. All the songs, including one from me, and several sung by my children, can be found on the Average Family Carolers page.

We all hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas season, and that you have as many blessings in your life, as we do in ours!

Don’t forget to listen to all the songs on the Christmas music jukebox page.

Here Comes Santa Claus - An Average Family Carolers Song

online entertainment

Many years ago my girls and I participated in the recording of Christmas songs for our family. My girls were young and far more eager to be party to such “traditional craziness” back then, and actually enjoyed the effort, though it took weeks and weeks for us to complete all the songs. We even named ourselves the “Average Family Carolers”, and I created CD covers and realistic looking labels. Below is one of my favorite songs from the first album we created, sung by my youngest who was then only 4 years old. A little older now, she will be turning 15 at the end of this month.

I never seem to get bored listening to these every year, though my kids groan every time I take them out Read the rest of this entry »

To all middle-aged folks - it’s now up to us to fix this mess!

internet news, online entertainment

As a middle-aged women, I implore all my follow middle-aged brothers and sisters (okay, friends) to realize just how important it is that we ALL vote this election year.

Growing up I recall hearing how the generation after us would be the “new frontier”, a new century of technological wonder and excitement as everywhere on the news people focused on the children starting kindergarten who would graduate in the year 2000. The generation before us was the “age of exploration” Read the rest of this entry »

Matt Damon gets a wish - Palin a Disney movie

internet news, online entertainment

Not long ago, Matt Damon stated in an interview that Sarah Palin becoming president some day was like a “really bad Disney movie”. Well, someone thought the idea (of a movie that is) was a good one, so they came through with the funniest thing I’ve seen in ages!! The sad thing is, the whole idea scares the life out of me! But, only in America right!

Ever wonder what others think about elections? Find out!

internet news, online entertainment

In an amazingly creative use of a new social media tool Twitter has created an Election 2008 page. This page filters out twitters from all Twitter users having to do with the candidates and the election.

Upon first entering the page you see a dizzying array of comments, one after another, streaming in from the top of the page. The comments are limited to one page full, but with so many being updated so quickly, it is clear to see you could easily get your fill of political talking points here.

Then, in a unique combination of filters and Read the rest of this entry »

If its good enough for Hillary isn’t it good enough for Palin…?

online entertainment

Recently the Republicans have blasted Presidential candidate Barack Obama for indicating that the McCain message was nothing more than putting lipstick on a pig. It’s still a pig. In other words, the McCain camp talks now of “change” but it really is nothing more but the same old thing it has always been, a Bush administration with lipstick on.

Well, Republicans didn’t like the reference all that well, charging that it was an insult directed at Sarah Palin, McCain’s running mate. However as the following video points out, this was the very same statement McCain made just a few months ago, blasting Hillary Clinton’s health care program. Seems to me, if it’s good enough for Hillary Clinton, shouldn’t it be good enough for Sarah Palin?
