As my friends and family will readily admit, I have been dismayed and literally livid about the decision by McCain to choose Sarah Palin as his VP choice. Not only do I see it as an affront to American women’s intelligence (as in, “oh goodie, lets all vote McCain because Palin has female parts”!!?) she is just simply NOT qualified to run as vice president, let alone for the potential that she may some day be president.

As a result, and to help rest my weary soul over the entire ordeal, I’ve joined the “fight against Palin” brigade. This brigade (currently made up of one, me) basically has 3 purposes:

1) to show women everywhere that our female parts DO NOT make up who we are
2) to try to ensure, in whatever minuscule way that I can, the integrity of our governmental system, by helping to keep our country from a path of destruction by assuming that “looking pretty and being female” means you’re qualified for high office; I’m all for breaking the glass ceiling, I just think it should be done with a qualified hammer (does one hear a bit of “I should have supported Clinton” regret in my tone?)
3) to stand up for my right to yell, scream, and DISAGREE with this outrageous choice, even if it means nothing because my state (with only one electoral vote anyway) will never vote Democratic for a presidential election even if we’re about to be washed away in a great flood of idiocy

So with that, I’m providing below resources I’ve found so far that should enlighten and, in some cases, amaze. Some of these are true “facts” (the few that there are) about Palin and her “experiences” in government (she’s never actually held a real job otherwise), and others are simply for my own sadistic pleasure … muhaaaa.

HA! Middle-age doesn’t have to mean out of the loop now does it!).
